The work of ambition is sublime
Above the pen’s inscription.
Above the pattern of the graveyard
وكذاand likewise الرسمthe inscription غايةa goal
وكذا الرسم غاية
للبرودِfor the cloaks المدبرهthe ordered
للبرودِ المدبره
Likewise, the inscription is a goal
And so the pattern is an end
For the ordered cloaks.
To the plotted coolness
غايةُthe goal الرسمof the inscription همةspiritual resolve
غايةُ الرسم همة
مصطفاةٌchosen مطهرهpurified
مصطفاةٌ مطهره
The inscription’s goal is spiritual resolve,
The end of the pattern is an ambition
Chosen and purified.
Purified, sanctified
ولهاand it has غايةa goal علتrose high
ولها غاية علت
بالوجودthrough existence المنظرهthe vantage point
بالوجود المنظره
And it has a goal that rose high
And it has a sublime end
Through existence—the vantage point.
