يرى الحق أعمالي بما هو ذو بصر

يرى الحق أعمالي بما هو ذو بصر

وما عندنا من ذاك علمٌ ولا خبرُ

وما عندنا من ذاك علمٌ ولا خبرُ

The Real sees my deeds insofar as He possesses sight,

He sees the truth of my deeds with his all-seeing vision

And we have neither knowledge nor report of that.

While we have no knowledge or news of that

ولما أتى الشرعُ الذي خُص بالهدى

ولما أتى الشرعُ الذي خُص بالهدى

به نحو ما قلنا به مثل ما أمر

به نحو ما قلنا به مثل ما أمر

And when the revealed Law, specially endowed with guidance, came

And when the Law came which was singled out for guidance

With it in some manner, we affirmed it just as it commanded.

We inclined toward what we said, and likewise what He ordered

ولا تك ممن قال فيه بأنه

ولا تك ممن قال فيه بأنه

مزيدُ وضوحِ العلم في عالم البشر

مزيدُ وضوحِ العلم في عالم البشر

And do not be among those who say of it that it is

And be not of those who said of it that

An increase in the clarity of knowledge in the human world.

It is an increase in the clarity of knowledge in the world of mankind

فذلك قولٌ لا خفاءَ بنقضِه

فذلك قولٌ لا خفاءَ بنقضِه

وإنْ كان مدلولاً عليه بما ذكر

وإنْ كان مدلولاً عليه بما ذكر

For that is a claim whose refutation is plain,

For that is a saying whose falseness is not obscure

Even if what was mentioned points to it.

Even if what is signified by it is what was mentioned
