الحق في شاهد يبدو ومشهود

الحق في شاهد يبدو ومشهود

والخلقُ ما بين مفقود وموجود

والخلقُ ما بين مفقود وموجود

The Real appears in a witness and in what is witnessed.

The Truth appears as witness and witnessed

And creation is what lies between the absent and the existent.

And creation lies between absent and present

إن قلت هذا هو المخلوق قيل أنا

إن قلت هذا هو المخلوق قيل أنا

الحق باطنه من غير تقييد

الحق باطنه من غير تقييد

If you say, “This is the created being,” it is said, “I am

If you say this is the created, I say I am

the Real, its inward essence, without limitation.”

The Truth is its essence without limitation

أو قلت هذا هو الحق الذي شهدت

أو قلت هذا هو الحق الذي شهدت

له دلالته في عين توحيد

له دلالته في عين توحيد

Or if you say, “This is the Real to whom witness has been borne

Or if you say this is The Truth you witnessed

by His evidence in the very essence of oneness,”

Its indications are in the essence of Oneness

يقال لي بل هو الحق الذي عرفوا

يقال لي بل هو الحق الذي عرفوا

وجودُه أنه من حضرة الجود

وجودُه أنه من حضرة الجود

I am told, “Rather, it is the Real of whom they knew

It is said to me: No, it is The Truth they knew

that His existence is from the presence of bounty.”

Its existence is from the presence of generosity
