The command belongs to God, while the commanded thing is in nonexistence.

If bringing into being is ascribed to Him, that claim is refuted.

Rather, “Be!” belongs to your Lord; bringing into being is not His.

It belongs only to the commanded thing, accompanying it.

Thus the text of the Book has brought this to you, and no

abrogating text has come to supersede it at present.

Glory be to Him as One self-sufficient, who has no need

for the world of existence, though the Names require it.

He is the One named by them, and the essence is one.

Yet you do not apprehend Him, for He is hard to attain.
