The book’s conclusion will be a subtle insight,

The book's conclusion will be gentle

From the Presence of Divine Oneness, in its lofty heights.

From the presence of Oneness in its loftiness

تحوي وصايا العارفين وقطبهم

تحوي وصايا العارفين وقطبهم

فهي المنار لسالكي سِيسَائِها

فهي المنار لسالكي سِيسَائِها

It contains the counsels of the spiritual knowers and their Pole;

It contains the commandments of the gnostics and their poles

Thus it is the beacon for those who traverse its ridge.

It is the beacon for the travelers of its traits

من كلِّ نجم واقعبحقيقة

من كلِّ نجم واقعبحقيقة

وأهلَّة طلعتْ بأفقِِ سمائها

وأهلَّة طلعتْ بأفقِِ سمائها

From every star alighting upon a truth,

From every star fallen in its reality

And crescent moons risen at the horizon of its sky.

And worthy, it rose on the horizon of its skies

وأتى بها عرسا غرانيق على

وأتى بها عرسا غرانيق على

من منزل الملكوتِ في ظلمائها

من منزل الملكوتِ في ظلمائها

And lofty cranes came bearing it as a bride,

And it came as a wedding of cranes

From the abode of the heavenly kingdom, amid its darkness.

From the abode of kingship in its darkness

ليعرِّف النحرير قطب وجودِه

ليعرِّف النحرير قطب وجودِه

وبنية بدراً بنور سنائها

وبنية بدراً بنور سنائها

To acquaint the adept with the Pole of his being,

To show the pen its essence’s pole

And a structure—a full moon by the light of its splendor.

And its structure as a full moon by the light of its brilliance

فمن اقتفى أثر الوصية إنه

فمن اقتفى أثر الوصية إنه

بالحال واحد عصره في يائها

بالحال واحد عصره في يائها

So whoever follows the counsel’s trace—he indeed

So whoever follows the trace of the commandment

Is, in spiritual state, the peerless one of his age within its yāʾ.

Is by his state unique to his time in his glory

ويكون عند فطامه من ثديها

ويكون عند فطامه من ثديها

وطلابه الترشيح من أمرائها

وطلابه الترشيح من أمرائها

And he will be, when weaned from its breast,

And at his weaning from its breast

And seeking nomination, among its princes.

Its students the refinement from its princes

هذي الطريقة أعلنت بعلائها

هذي الطريقة أعلنت بعلائها

فمن السعيد يكون من أبنائها

فمن السعيد يكون من أبنائها

This path has been proclaimed in its loftiness;

This is the path announced in its sublimity

Who, then, is the fortunate one to be among its sons?

So blessed is he who becomes one of its sons
