جاءcame المبشرُthe bearer of glad tidings بالرسالةwith the message يبتغيseeking
جاء المبشرُ بالرسالة يبتغي
أجرreward السرورjoy منfrom الكريمِthe generous المرسلِthe sender
أجر السرور من الكريمِ المرسلِ
The bearer of glad tidings came with the message, seeking
The messenger came with the message seeking
the reward of joy from the generous sender.
A reward of joy from the Sender, the Generous,
فأتىso came بهwith it ختمthe seal الولايةِsainthood مثلماjust as
فأتى به ختم الولايةِ مثلما
ختمwas sealed النبوةprophethood بالنبيّthrough the prophet المرسلthe one sent
ختم النبوة بالنبيّ المرسل
So with it came the seal of sainthood, just as
So the Seal of Divine Guardianship came to him
prophethood was sealed through the prophet sent.
Just as the Seal of Prophethood came with the Prophet sent,
ولناand for us منfrom الختمينthe two seals حظٌa share وافرٌample
ولنا من الختمين حظٌ وافرٌ
ورثاas an inheritance أتاناcame to us فيin الكتابthe Book المنزَّلsent down
ورثا أتانا في الكتاب المنزَّل
And from both seals we have an ample share,
And for us there is ample fortune from both Seals—
an inheritance that came to us in the revealed Book.
An inheritance that came to us in the Book sent down.
