Say to the one who strung existence into bonds:

Why did you not take witnesses against yourself therein,

Upright ones from created beings, from its masters,

Those chosen as landmarks and bounds?

Indeed, those who pledge allegiance to you—they

Surely pledge allegiance to the one present yet missing.

And when a span of time passes, with its passing expires

A covenant; so renew covenants for the Imam.

    وكفى بربِّ الوارداتِ شهودا

    Call the limbs of his own being to witness against him concerning them;

And the Lord of incoming inspirations is witness enough.

Indeed, the Imam is the one for whom testimony is borne

By the solid mountains to his being worshipped.
