دَع الخطاب إذا الرحمنُ ناجاكا
O possessor of an ear, indeed the ear has called to you.
O you who have an ear, the ear has called out to you
Leave off speech when the All-Merciful speaks intimately to you.
Leave off speech when the Merciful converses with you
فإنْthen if دعيتyou were called الذيthat which يلقيهHe imparts it منof حكمwisdom
فإنْ دعيت الذي يلقيه من حكم

Then, if you are called to what He imparts of wisdom
If you are called by the One who imparts wisdom to you
upon you, the mysteries would become celestial spheres for you.
The mysteries will be as celestial spheres for you

And if you feign deafness to perceiving what has been scattered
And if you persist in not comprehending what is laid out before you
before you, the worlds would become snares for you.
The cosmos will be as idols for you
