عليكَ اتكالي في جميعِ مطالبي
O best one to accompany, and O best companion,
O best of companions, O best friend
On you I rely in all my requests.
I rely on you for all my needs
عليكon you اتكاليmy reliance ثمthen أنتyou وسيلتيmy means
عليك اتكالي ثم أنت وسيلتي
إليكto you فحُلso intervene بينيbetween me وبينand between مطالبيmy requests
إليك فحُل بيني وبين مطالبي
On you I rely; moreover, you are my means
I rely on you, for you are my means
To you—so stand between me and my requests.
To you, so come between me and my needs
وكنand be عندin keeping with ظنيmy expectation لاdo not تخيبهdisappoint it إنهfor it
وكن عند ظني لا تخيبه إنه
منfrom أكرمِthe most generous مطلوبٍone sought وأفقرand the neediest طالبِseeker
من أكرمِ مطلوبٍ وأفقر طالبِ
And meet my expectation; do not disappoint it, for it comes
And be as I expect, do not disappoint it
From the most generous one sought and the neediest seeker.
For it comes from the most generous need and poorest supplicant
