البرقُ يلمعُ والرعود تسبح

البرقُ يلمعُ والرعود تسبح

والغيثُ ينزل والمنازلُ تصبحُ

والغيثُ ينزل والمنازلُ تصبحُ

Lightning flashes, and the thunders glorify God.

The lightning flashes and the thunder glorifies,

And rain descends, and the abodes become

The rain pours down and the dwellings become verdant.

مخضرةٌ هاماتها وبقاعُها

مخضرةٌ هاماتها وبقاعُها

والزهر في روضاتها يتفتح

والزهر في روضاتها يتفتح

Verdant at their summits and across their grounds.

Their slopes turn green and their regions,

And blossoms unfold in their gardens.

The flowers in its gardens begin to bloom.

فترى جنانَ الخلد أنشأها لنا

فترى جنانَ الخلد أنشأها لنا

بصدور أعلام إذا هي تشرح

بصدور أعلام إذا هي تشرح

Thus you see the gardens of eternity He has created for us

You see the gardens of immortality He created for us,

Within the breasts of luminaries, when they are opened.

When the foreheads of the eminent open up.

وقطوفها تدنو فتطعم من له

وقطوفها تدنو فتطعم من له

ذوق إذا هي بالعبارة تفصح

ذوق إذا هي بالعبارة تفصح

And their fruit-clusters draw near, nourishing whoever has

Its fruits draw near, tasting to those

Taste, when they speak plainly in words.

With perception when explicated.

فالخلق منه إذا نظرت مهللٌ

فالخلق منه إذا نظرت مهللٌ

ومكبِّر ومعظِّمٌ ومُسَبِّح

ومكبِّر ومعظِّمٌ ومُسَبِّح

Thus creation, which comes from Him, proclaims His oneness, if you look,

Creation from Him, when you look is praising

And proclaims His greatness, exalts Him, and glorifies Him.

And glorifying and revering and extolling.

والكل مثن بالذي هو أهلُه

والكل مثن بالذي هو أهلُه

فالله يُعطي مَن يشاء ويمنحُ

فالله يُعطي مَن يشاء ويمنحُ

And all offer the praise of which He is worthy.

And all are occupied with what makes them worthy,

For God gives to whomever He wills, and bestows gifts.

For God gives whom He wishes and bestows.
