إني رأيتُ وما رأيتُ وجودي

إني رأيتُ وما رأيتُ وجودي

ورأيته ذخري ليومِ شهودي

ورأيته ذخري ليومِ شهودي

Indeed, I saw, yet I did not see my existence.

I saw myself, though I saw not my existence,

And I saw him as my treasure for the day of my witnessing.

And I saw Him as my provision for the day I witness.

عطفتْ عليَّ صفاتُ من أنا ذاته

عطفتْ عليَّ صفاتُ من أنا ذاته

فرأيته مني كحبلِ وريدي

فرأيته مني كحبلِ وريدي

The attributes of the one whose essence I am showed me kindness.

The attributes of the One I am clung to me,

So I saw him as close to me as my jugular vein.

So I saw Him from me as my jugular vein.
