إني رأيتُ براهين العقول على
نفيdenial of التحيزِspatial localization لاnot تقوىis strong دلالتهاtheir demonstrative force
نفي التحيزِ لا تقوى دلالتها
Indeed, I have seen that reason’s proofs for
I saw proofs of minds denying bias
Denying spatial localization lack force in their demonstration.
Yet their implications lack force
إنindeed البدورthe full moons بعينwith the eye of الحسsense تشهدهاyou behold them
إن البدور بعين الحس تشهدها
وقدand indeed أحاطتhas encompassed بهاaround them فيin الجوّthe air هالتهاtheir halo
وقد أحاطت بها في الجوّ هالتها
Indeed, you behold the full moons with the eye of sense,
Stars bear witness to the naked eye
And their halo has encompassed them in the air.
Though their halos encompass the sky
ولمand did not تكنbe غيرَother than أنوارٍlights بهاthrough them انبعثتshine forth
ولم تكن غيرَ أنوارٍ بها انبعثت
منهاfrom them إلىto غايةٍa limit فيهاwithin which حبالتهاtheir snare
منها إلى غايةٍ فيها حبالتها
And it was nothing but lights that shone forth through them,
Save they were lights that shone forth
From them to a limit where their snare lay,
From end to end in its grasp held fast
علىon السواءِequal terms فدارتْso it circled كيso that يحيطit might encompass بهاaround them
على السواءِ فدارتْ كي يحيط بها
وماand not أحاطencompassed بهاaround them غيرany other فآلتهاso their instrument
وما أحاط بها غير فآلتها
Uniformly; it circled so as to encompass them.
All alike thus turned that they might span
And no other encompassed them; thus their instrument
What spans them but their consequences?
منهاfrom them فنطقهاso he made them speak بالمحالِof the impossible موجدهاtheir maker
منها فنطقها بالمحالِ موجدها
حقاًtruly وقدand indeed حققتwas confirmed فيهاin them مقالتهاtheir assertion
حقاً وقد حققت فيها مقالتها
Was from them; so their maker made them utter the impossible,
Of them speaks their maker of the absurd
In truth, and their assertion was indeed confirmed in them.
Truly having realized their utterances
واعلمand know بأنَّthat صفاتِthe attributes of الحقِّthe Real ليسthere is not لهاfor them
واعلم بأنَّ صفاتِ الحقِّ ليس لها
حدٌّa limit ينالthat can be attained فقدfor indeed عالتhas overflowed فريضتهاtheir prescribed share
حدٌّ ينال فقد عالت فريضتها
And know that the attributes of the Real have no
Know the attributes of Truth have no
Attainable limit, for their prescribed share has overflowed.
