If every name is named and described

by its most beautiful names, which differ in rank,

then there is no superiority among the names, if you possess understanding,

even though among them are the high and the low.

Thus the high among them does not rise through ascent (reading uncertain),

nor does the low among the names descend in judgment.

So whoever understands the matter I have mentioned,

that one is an imam, just in judgment.

He is called the Pole of the Faith; justice is his attribute.

Nor is one possessed of knowledge like one who is ignorant.

For if a deficient person censures him, that is testimony

that the one censured is perfect in excellence.
