عجبتُI marveled منat رجمِa missile نارٍfire يحرقُburns الناراthe fire
عجبتُ من رجمِ نارٍ يحرقُ النارا
واللهand God يظهرهُmakes it appear فيin العينthe eye أنواراlights
والله يظهرهُ في العين أنوارا
I marveled at a fiery missile that burns fire.
I wondered at a fire that burns fire
And God makes it appear to the eye as lights.
By Allah, He shows it in the eye as lights
لابدَّinescapable منهfrom it لهfor him حفظاًto preserve لشُرعِتناfor our sacred law
لابدَّ منه له حفظاً لشُرعِتنا
ولوeven if تسرَّبَhe slips into أنفاقاًtunnels وأغواراًand depths
ولو تسرَّبَ أنفاقاً وأغواراً
It is inescapable for him, to preserve our sacred law,
It is inevitable, having preservation for our law
Even if he slips into tunnels and depths.
Even if it seeps into tunnels and caves
يشوِّهdisfigures الوجهthe face منهof him عندupon رؤيتِهseeing it
يشوِّه الوجه منه عند رؤيتِه
وثمand then يخطَفُsnatches away أسماعاًhearing وأبصاراand sight
وثم يخطَفُ أسماعاً وأبصارا
It disfigures his face at the sight of it,
It disfigures the face when seeing it
And then it snatches away hearing and sight.
Then it seizes hearing and sights
