أشهد في خالقي بجوده

أشهد في خالقي بجوده

ما شاء من سَنا وُجودِه

ما شاء من سَنا وُجودِه

I behold in my Creator, through His generosity,

I bear witness to my Creator's generosity

whatever He wills of the radiance of His being.

However He willed from making me exist

واختارني للعلومِ قلباً

واختارني للعلومِ قلباً

عنايةً بي على عبيدِه

عنايةً بي على عبيدِه

And He chose me as a heart for knowledge,

And chose for me a heart for knowledge

as a favor to me above His servants.

With providence over His servants

وقال لي لا تكن محلاً

وقال لي لا تكن محلاً

لواردِ الكون في شهودِه

لواردِ الكون في شهودِه

And He said to me: Do not be a receptacle

And He said to me, be not a vessel

for the influx of the cosmos as you witness it.

For the universe's influx in its witnessing

فإنما جنتي وناري

فإنما جنتي وناري

لكلِّ رسم دارا خلوده

لكلِّ رسم دارا خلوده

For My Garden and My Fire are but

For indeed My Paradise and My Hellfire

the two abodes of each form’s everlasting dwelling.

For every soul has its eternal abode

فاذكر وجودي بعين وجودي

فاذكر وجودي بعين وجودي

يكن عطاء على حسودِه

يكن عطاء على حسودِه

So remember My being with the eye of My being;

So remember My existence with the eye of My existence

it will be a gift upon its envier.

It will be a gift upon the envious
