أنا المحيي لا أكنى ولا أتبلد

أنا المحيي لا أكنى ولا أتبلد

أنا العربيُّ الحاتمي محمدُ

أنا العربيُّ الحاتمي محمدُ

I am al-Muhyi; I bear no byname, nor do I grow dull.

I am the ever-living, I do not wither or languish

I am al-Arabi, al-Hatimi, Muhammad.

I am the Arab, Al-Hatem's son, Muhammad

لكلِّ زمانٍ واحد هم عينه

لكلِّ زمانٍ واحد هم عينه

وإني ذاك الشخصُ في العصرِ أوحدُ

وإني ذاك الشخصُ في العصرِ أوحدُ

Every age has one; they are its very essence.

For every era there is one with the same ambition

And indeed I am that person, peerless in this age.

And I am that unique person of this time

وما الناس إلا واحدٌ بعد واحدٍ

وما الناس إلا واحدٌ بعد واحدٍ

حرامٌ على الأدوارِ شخصان يوجد

حرامٌ على الأدوارِ شخصان يوجد

And people are but one after another.

People are but one after another

Two persons may not exist together in the cycles of time.

It is forbidden that two exist in one era

أقابل عضاتِ الزمان بهمةٍ

أقابل عضاتِ الزمان بهمةٍ

تذلُّ لها السَّبعُ الشدادُ وتخمدُ

تذلُّ لها السَّبعُ الشدادُ وتخمدُ

I confront time's bites with a resolve

I meet the bites of time with determination

Before which the seven mighty heavens bow and fall still.

That humbles the fierce lion and puts it to sleep

مؤيّدنا فيه على كلِّ حالة

مؤيّدنا فيه على كلِّ حالة

إله السما وهو النَّصير المؤيد

إله السما وهو النَّصير المؤيد

Our supporter therein, in every circumstance,

In it, our supporter in any case

Is the God of heaven, and He is the Helper, the Upholder.

Is the God of the sky, the greatest supporter

وما ذاك عن حقِّ ولكن عناية

وما ذاك عن حقِّ ولكن عناية

اتتني وحُسَّادي ترومُ وتجهد

اتتني وحُسَّادي ترومُ وتجهد

And that is not by right, but a grace

And this is not about truth, but care

That came to me, while my enviers strive and toil.

That came to me while my enviers plot and strive
