غار الإله لبيته وحريمه

فلذاك ما حَصَبَ الذي يبغيه

فلذاك ما حَصَبَ الذي يبغيه

God was jealous for His House and His sacred precinct.

The cavern of God shelters His home and family.

Thus He pelted with stones the one who sought it

So whoever intends evil against them,

بالسوءِ ثم تراه من إحسانه

بالسوءِ ثم تراه من إحسانه

بعباده يلغي الذي يلغيه

بعباده يلغي الذي يلغيه

with evil intent; then you see Him, out of His kindness

God will ward it off with His benevolence,

toward His servants, disregarding the one who disregards Him.

And nullify their ill intent through His servants.

إن اللئيم الطبعِ إنْ أكرمتَه

إن اللئيم الطبعِ إنْ أكرمتَه

لم يلتفتْ فبجورةِ يطغيه

لم يلتفتْ فبجورةِ يطغيه

Indeed, one base by nature—if you honor him—

For if you show kindness to the ungrateful,

pays no heed; so, through an act of injustice, he drives him to excess [wording unclear].

He will not notice it, lost in his own tyranny.
