يفصِّله العلامُ بالقلمِ الأعلى

When Nūn brings it in summary, then indeed

the All-Knowing unfolds it with the Supreme Pen,

فيلقيه في اللوحِ الحفيظِ مفصِّلاً

فيلقيه في اللوحِ الحفيظِ مفصِّلاً

حروفاً وأشكالاً وآياته تُتلى

حروفاً وأشكالاً وآياته تُتلى

and casts it into the safeguarding Tablet, setting it out in detail

as letters and forms, while its verses are recited.

وما فصل الإجمال منه بعلمه

وما فصل الإجمال منه بعلمه

وما كان إلا كاتباً حين ما يتلى

وما كان إلا كاتباً حين ما يتلى

Nor did it unfold the summary on its own, through its knowledge;

it was only a scribe when there was recited

عليه الذي ألقاه فيه مسطر

عليه الذي ألقاه فيه مسطر

لتبلى به أكوانه وهو لا يبلى

لتبلى به أكوانه وهو لا يبلى

to it what an inscriber had cast within it,

so that its worlds might wear away through it, while it does not wear away.

هو العقل حقاً حين يعقل ذاته

له الكشفُ والتحقيق بالمشهد الأجلى

له الكشفُ والتحقيق بالمشهد الأجلى

It is truly the Intellect when it apprehends its own essence;

to it belong unveiling and realization in the clearest vision.
