لله قومٌ بقعر البحرِ منزلُهم

لله قومٌ بقعر البحرِ منزلُهم

فمن يراهم يقول الشخصُ مكبوتُ

فمن يراهم يقول الشخصُ مكبوتُ

God has people whose dwelling is at the bottom of the sea.

So whoever sees them says, 'The man is brought low.'

وإنه في نعيم لا يزايله

وإنه في نعيم لا يزايله

لأنه عابدٌ بالأصل مسبوتُ

لأنه عابدٌ بالأصل مسبوتُ

Yet he is in bliss that never leaves him,

for he is a worshipper by nature, sunk in slumber.

رآه شيخٌ صدوقٌ من مشايخنا

رآه شيخٌ صدوقٌ من مشايخنا

فقال مسكنكم فقال تكريتُ

فقال مسكنكم فقال تكريتُ

A truthful shaykh from among our shaykhs saw him.

Then he asked, 'Where is your dwelling?' He replied, 'Tikrit.'
