مطوتُ متونَ الصافنات جيادي

مطوتُ متونَ الصافنات جيادي

بقبة أجيادِ ومهبطِ وادِ

بقبة أجيادِ ومهبطِ وادِ

I rode the backs of the poised horses, my steeds,

at the dome of Ajyad and a valley's descent.

أزاحم فيه كلَّ ملكٍ متوّجٍ

أزاحم فيه كلَّ ملكٍ متوّجٍ

وأنفق فيه طار في وتِلادِي

وأنفق فيه طار في وتِلادِي

There I jostle with every crowned king,

and there I spend my newly acquired and inherited wealth.

وأظهرُ فيه كلَّ يومٍ بصورة

وأظهرُ فيه كلَّ يومٍ بصورة

إلى أنْ نزلتُ الأرضَ أرضَ إياد

إلى أنْ نزلتُ الأرضَ أرضَ إياد

And there I appear each day in a form,

until I descended to earth, to the land of Iyad.

فعاينتُ قُساً في عكاظٍ وعنده

فعاينتُ قُساً في عكاظٍ وعنده

بمجلسِه المهديّ وهو ينادي

بمجلسِه المهديّ وهو ينادي

Then I beheld Quss in Ukaz, and beside him,

in his assembly, was the Mahdi, while he called out:

أظلكمُ وقتٌ عليه مهابةٌ

أظلكمُ وقتٌ عليه مهابةٌ

بإظهار مهدي شريعةِ هاد

بإظهار مهدي شريعةِ هاد

“A time has overshadowed you, clothed in awe,

with the manifestation of a Mahdi of a guide's sacred law.”
