    For if a person forgets an essential pillar, then he

    must repeat and make up what it comprised and contained.

    And if it is not a pillar, but a recommended practice is neglected,

    he has not experienced nearness, nor attained his wishes.

    وليس جَهولُ بالأمور كمن درى

    And this holds true for all acts of worship;

    one ignorant of affairs is not like one who knows.

    If this is the outward aspect of the matter, then what

    is hidden from sight is loftier in origin.

    And this is what purifies the knowers; so if you are

    among their ranks, you will enjoy being drawn near by Mustafa.
