سبحان من هو نائبٌ في خاتمه

سبحان من هو نائبٌ في خاتمه

عنهم وهم نوابه في خلقهْ

عنهم وهم نوابه في خلقهْ

Glory be to Him who is a deputy in His seal,

on their behalf, while they are His deputies among His creation.

فالفِعل مشتركٌ بظاهرِ خلقه

فالفِعل مشتركٌ بظاهرِ خلقه

حِسّاً وإيماناً بموجبِ حقِّه

حِسّاً وإيماناً بموجبِ حقِّه

Thus action is shared in the outward aspect of His creation,

through sense and through faith, as His Reality requires.

فالحسُّ يشهد أنه من خلقه

فالحسُّ يشهد أنه من خلقه

والكشفُ يسهد أنه من حقه

والكشفُ يسهد أنه من حقه

Sense testifies that it comes from His creation,

and unveiling [testifies] that it comes from His Reality.

وكلاهما عدلٌ وصدقُ مرتضى

وكلاهما عدلٌ وصدقُ مرتضى

فيما يقول بحالِه وبنطقهْ

فيما يقول بحالِه وبنطقهْ

Both are just and true, worthy of acceptance,

in what each says through its state and its speech.

جاء الكتابُ به فأيد قولنا

جاء الكتابُ به فأيد قولنا

وهوالدليل لنا عليه لصدقِهْ

وهوالدليل لنا عليه لصدقِهْ

The Book brought this and so confirmed our words,

and it is our proof of this, by virtue of its truth.

الله يخلقنا ويخلقُ فعلنا

الله يخلقنا ويخلقُ فعلنا

والأمر مستورٌ بما في حقه

والأمر مستورٌ بما في حقه

God creates us and creates our action,

and the matter is veiled by what lies in His Reality.

الأمر بالتدبير يجري حكمه

الأمر بالتدبير يجري حكمه

ويقولُ ذو الأوفاق ذاك بوقفه

ويقولُ ذو الأوفاق ذاك بوقفه

The command’s rule runs its course through governance,

and the master of magic squares says that it is by his stopping.

الاتفاق بجهلنا بحصولِ ما

الاتفاق بجهلنا بحصولِ ما

في علمه سبحانه في خلقه

في علمه سبحانه في خلقه

Coincidence arises from our ignorance of the coming to pass of what

is in His knowledge—glory be to Him—concerning His creation.
