إني جعلتُ رسولَ الله خيرَ شفيعٍ

إني جعلتُ رسولَ الله خيرَ شفيعٍ

فكن له يا وليّ اليومَ خيرَ سميع

فكن له يا وليّ اليومَ خيرَ سميع

Indeed, I have taken God's Messenger as the best intercessor.

So, O patron, be the best of listeners to him today.

وما التمستُ سوى مرسوم صاحبه

وما التمستُ سوى مرسوم صاحبه

السيد الطائع المحفوظ خير مطيع

السيد الطائع المحفوظ خير مطيع

And I have sought only his companion's decree,

The obedient, protected master, the best of those who obey.

وقد رأيتُ الذي خطت أنامله

وقد رأيتُ الذي خطت أنامله

من كلِّ معنى جليلٍ قدرُه وبديع

من كلِّ معنى جليلٍ قدرُه وبديع

And I have seen what his fingertips have traced,

Of every meaning, lofty in worth and wondrous.

والأمر لله فيه ثم صاحبُه

والأمر لله فيه ثم صاحبُه

إن الجنابَ الذي ذكرته لرفيع

إن الجنابَ الذي ذكرته لرفيع

And in this, the matter rests with God, then with its master;

Indeed, the august personage I have mentioned is truly exalted.
