أرى في التين عِلمَ الحقِّ حقاً

أرى في التين عِلمَ الحقِّ حقاً

وعلمي أنه الحقُّ المبينُ

وعلمي أنه الحقُّ المبينُ

I truly see knowledge of the Truth in the fig.

And my knowledge is that it is the manifest Truth.

وعلم المصطفى الأميّ منه

وعلم المصطفى الأميّ منه

به قد جاء في النبأ اليقين

به قد جاء في النبأ اليقين

And the unlettered Chosen One's knowledge comes from it.

He has indeed brought it in the sure tidings.

يقول به الكليم بطورِ سينا

يقول به الكليم بطورِ سينا

وذلك عندنا البلدُ الأمينُ

وذلك عندنا البلدُ الأمينُ

God's interlocutor speaks of it on Mount Sinai.

And that, to us, is the secure city.

يجولُ به العليم بكلِّ شيءٍ

يجولُ به العليم بكلِّ شيءٍ

بطاهرِه وباطنه مسكون

بطاهرِه وباطنه مسكون

The Knower of all things roams within it.

In its pure aspect and its interior, it is inhabited.

لقد أيدت بالتحقيق فيه

لقد أيدت بالتحقيق فيه

وقد أعطتْ معالمه الشؤون

وقد أعطتْ معالمه الشؤون

I have indeed been strengthened in it through realization.

And its signs have indeed yielded the states.

وعلمُ الزيت عن نظرٍ صحيحٍ

وعلمُ الزيت عن نظرٍ صحيحٍ

وفي تين الهدى العلمُ المتين

وفي تين الهدى العلمُ المتين

And knowledge of the oil comes from sound contemplation.

And in the fig of guidance lies firm knowledge.
