ممنfrom whom تخلصتhave you escaped أوor إلىto مَنwhom
تخلصdo you escape ياO طالبَseeker of الخلاصِdeliverance
From whom have you escaped, or to whom
To whom have you escaped, or to whom
do you escape, O seeker of deliverance?
Do you escape, O seeker of escape?
إنif كنتَyou are بالعلمin knowledge فيin مزيدٍincrease
أناI منfrom العلمknowledge فيin انتقاصdecrease
If you are growing in knowledge,
If you have increased in knowledge,
I am diminishing in knowledge.
I have decreased in knowledge.
إنَّindeed لناfor us حكمةًa wisdom تعدَّتْhas transcended
بذاتهاby its very essence منزلَthe station of القَصَّاصthe storyteller
Indeed, we possess a wisdom that has transcended,
We have a wisdom that has surpassed
by its very essence, the storyteller's station.
The station of the avenger.
إنif كانتِis الحالُthe state of affairs ماwhat ذكرناwe have described
كيفhow لناfor us منهfrom it بالخلاصِwith deliverance
If the state of affairs is as we have described,
If the state is as we have mentioned,
how can we find deliverance from it?
How can we have an escape?
فأننيfor I طالبٌam seeking أموراًthings
أخرهاhas deferred them حاكمthe arbiter of المناصِescape
For I am seeking things
So I am a seeker of things
that the arbiter of escape has deferred;
Whose end is the Refuge.
وقدand indeed علمناwe have known كذاlikewise أموراًthings
قدّمهاhas brought them forward حاكمthe arbiter of المناصescape
and we have likewise known things
And we have known such things
that the arbiter of escape has brought forward.
Presented by the Refuge.
