وَلَيتَ أمورَ الخلقِ إذ صرت واحداً

وَلَيتَ أمورَ الخلقِ إذ صرت واحداً

عزيزاً ولا فخر لديَّ ولا زهو

عزيزاً ولا فخر لديَّ ولا زهو

You took charge of creation’s affairs when you became one,

If only I controlled the affairs of creation when I was one

mighty—yet I have neither pride nor conceit.

Mighty, yet I had no pride or arrogance

تركتُ وجودَ الشفعِ يلزم بابه

تركتُ وجودَ الشفعِ يلزم بابه

فغيبتُنا توٌ وحضرتُنا توّ

فغيبتُنا توٌ وحضرتُنا توّ

I left the existence of duality clinging to its door;

I abandoned seeking intercession clinging to His door

so our absence is single, and our presence single.

So I vanished, and I appeared
