Blessed be God when no hope of harm remains.

And people have no superiority over other people.

Insofar as he is forgetful, he is indeed a child

Of Adam, who is described as the forgetful one,

Revealing the quality inherent in nature.

And what comparison is there between guidance's light and a lamp's light?

Indeed, words came to me, all of them wise sayings,

From myself, in the form of inspiration and whispering.

Then it said to me, truthful in its utterance:

Drink from my cup, and indeed I am the water in the cup.

Just as fire was made a veil for Moses,

So that I might speak to him from a firebrand's very essence,

So the servant may know that I am all those upon whom

An eye has fallen, of every kind and genus.

So there is none in the universe but me, and the creatures are mine.

So mine is self-sufficiency, and theirs is poverty and bankruptcy.

Indeed, I have appeared through religions set forth in detail,

Through the tongue of a jurist versed in me and of a deacon.

And I have stood in every state by which you are described,

And I came to appear in the naked and in the clothed.

And you manifested yourself only to me; then I was perceived

By my eye, and you made my hearing hear every whisper.

And you adorned yourself only with me, that I might appear to myself.

So you stood for me, in courtesy and love, upon your head.

When the one who knows how to deal with me sought me,

I veiled him, instructing him through the towering, firmly rooted one.

And that towering, firmly rooted one was none other than my very self.

So no estrangement arose except through intimacy.

Opposites contended within me, so I said to them:

Indeed, life is surely in the plague of Amwas.

God gave them life in the death of witnessing.

There is no harm in the life that is within death.
