فمن يكون بنا حقاً فنعلمه

فمن يكون بنا حقاً فنعلمه

ومن يكونُ به حقاً فمجهول

ومن يكونُ به حقاً فمجهول

So whoever is real through us, we know him.

So whoever is truly with us, we will know him

And whoever is real through him is unknown.

And whoever has a right upon him, he is unknown

والنقلُ يأخذه بالعقلِ فهو به

والنقلُ يأخذه بالعقلِ فهو به

فقد ترجَّح بالتفصيلِ معقول

فقد ترجَّح بالتفصيلِ معقول

And transmitted knowledge apprehends him through reason; through it he

And narration takes him in reason, so he is with it

Is thus intelligible, having gained preponderance through detailed exposition.

So the detailed has outweighed the reasonable
