وحافظْ على الشفعِ الكريمِ ووتره

وحافظْ على الشفعِ الكريمِ ووتره

تفز بالذي فاز الخُضارمةُ الأولى

تفز بالذي فاز الخُضارمةُ الأولى

And safeguard the noble even number and its odd counterpart;

And keep the noble feet and rhymes intact

You will win what the great, generous men of old won.

Excel with what excelled the early Khudaram

فإنَّ دخْلاً يريد بلوغه

فإنَّ دخْلاً يريد بلوغه

ومَن حصَّل الأوتار قد حصَّلَ المنى

ومَن حصَّل الأوتار قد حصَّلَ المنى

For there is a gain he wishes to attain;

For an income he wants to attain

And whoever attains the odd numbers has indeed attained his desires.

And he who strings the lines has gained his wish
