نار الإله على الأسرارِ تطلعُ

نار الإله على الأسرارِ تطلعُ

وما لها أثر في القلبِ ينطبع

God's fire rises over the secrets,

And no trace of it is imprinted in the heart.

إذا يحس بأصواتِ اللهيبِ بها

إذا يحس بأصواتِ اللهيبِ بها

يأتي إليه رجيمُ السمعِ يستمع

يأتي إليه رجيمُ السمعِ يستمع

When he senses the sounds of the flame within it,

Hearing's outcast comes to it to listen.

والقلبُ حافظه فيه وليس له

والقلبُ حافظه فيه وليس له

إلا العنا فلهذا ليسَ يتضع

إلا العنا فلهذا ليسَ يتضع

And the heart's guardian is within it, and it has nothing

But hardship; thus it does not abase itself.

فالآل يرفعه طوراً ويخفضه

فالآل يرفعه طوراً ويخفضه

لأنه بدلٌ منه فيتسع

لأنه بدلٌ منه فيتسع

So the mirage raises it at times and lowers it,

Because it is a substitute for it, and so it expands.
