إنّ الإله له تجلٍّ في الصور

إنّ الإله له تجلٍّ في الصور

عند الشهود لمن تحقق بالنظر

عند الشهود لمن تحقق بالنظر

Indeed, God has a self-disclosure in forms,

Indeed, God manifests Himself in forms,

according to witnessing; and it is indeed realized through reflection.

in witnessing, for whoever attains realization through reflection,

بتحوُّلٍ وتبدُّلٍ يَقضي به

بتحوُّلٍ وتبدُّلٍ يَقضي به

عينُ الشهود لنا وينفيه النظر

عينُ الشهود لنا وينفيه النظر

Through His transformation and change—so judges

through transformation and alteration, which

the eye of witnessing for us, while reflection denies it.

the eye of witnessing affirms for us, while reflection denies it.

الفكر فيه محرَّم في شرعنا

الفكر فيه محرَّم في شرعنا

فاحذره والزم إنْ تقدمتَ النظر

فاحذره والزم إنْ تقدمتَ النظر

Thought about Him is forbidden under our Law;

so beware of it; and, if you would advance, hold fast to reflection.

من ينتظر نفحاته من يصيب

هذا ضمنت لمن يلازمه النظر

Who awaits His breathings? Who shall attain

Whoever awaits His breaths of grace is the one who attains

this? I guarantee it to whoever keeps to reflection.

إني مع الرحمنِ إن حققت ما

جئنا به عند التحقيق في نظر

جئنا به عند التحقيق في نظر

Indeed, I am with the All-Merciful, if you verify what

we have brought, when it is verified through reflection.

أين العزيز ومن له في نفسه

أين العزيز ومن له في نفسه

صفةُ الغنى ممن يذل ويفتقر

How far is the Mighty One—He who possesses within Himself

Where is the Mighty One—and He who has in Himself

the attribute of self-sufficiency—from one abased and in need!
