منwhoever يشتغلbusies himself بالذيwith that which قدalready ألزمهhas obliged him
من يشتغل بالذي قد ألزمه
فيin وقتهhis time ربهhis Lord فليسso he is not هناكthere
في وقته ربه فليس هناك
Whoever complains of what has caused him pain,
Whoever busies himself with what has been imposed on him
though it came from his Lord in its proper time, is not truly there.
in his time by his Lord is not there,
لأنهbecause he مدّعيa claimant بحالتهthrough his state
لأنه مدّعي بحالته

بمقت أضداده وليس كذاك
For he is one who lays claim to his state
for he makes a claim through his state,
through hatred of its contraries—but it is not so.
by loathing his opposites—yet it is not so.
