كلُّevery وقتٍmoment اراكI see you ليلةَthe night of قدريmy destiny
كلُّ وقتٍ اراك ليلةَ قدري
والتيand the one that للأنامfor humankind فيin رمضانِRamadan
والتي للأنام في رمضانِ
Every moment I see you is my Night of Destiny.
Every time I see you is like the Night of Power
And the one for humankind in Ramadan
That the people have during Ramadan
هيit خيرٌbetter منthan ألفِa thousand شهرٍmonth وإنيand indeed I
هي خيرٌ من ألفِ شهرٍ وإني
أناI خيرٌbetter منهاthan it بغيرwithout زمانtime
أنا خيرٌ منها بغير زمان
Is better than a thousand months; and indeed I—
It is better than a thousand months, and I
I am better than it, beyond time.
Am better than it without time
فضلهاits merit راجعٌgoes back إليَّto me وفضليand my merit
فضلها راجعٌ إليَّ وفضلي
راجعٌgoes back للذيto that which عليهaccording to it برانيHe fashioned me
راجعٌ للذي عليه براني
Its merit derives from me, and my merit
Its virtue goes back to me, and my virtue
Derives from that according to which He fashioned me.
Goes back to the One who nurtured me
فانظرواso look at الخلقَcreation كلَّهall of it تجدوهyou will find it
فانظروا الخلقَ كلَّه تجدوه
أرضَهits earth وأسماؤهand its names المَلوانnight and day
أرضَه وأسماؤه المَلوان
So look at all creation; you will find it—
So look at all of creation, you will find it
Its earth, and its names—night and day—
Its land and its diverse names
جسداًa body ميتاًdead يزولpasses away ويفنىand perishes
جسداً ميتاً يزول ويفنى
يومَon the day أمشيI walk عنهaway from it لدارِto the abode of الجنانِthe gardens of Paradise
يومَ أمشي عنه لدارِ الجنانِ
A dead body that passes away and perishes
A dead body that perishes and vanishes
The day I walk away from it to the abode of Paradise.
The day I walk away from it to the abode of Gardens
فحياةُfor the life of الوجودِexistence حيثُwherever حللناwe have dwelt
فحياةُ الوجودِ حيثُ حللنا
منهwithin it والموتُand death عندwith منwhoever لاnot يرانيsees me
منه والموتُ عند من لا يراني
For the life of existence is wherever we have dwelt
So the life of existence is where we resided
Within it; and death is with whoever does not see me.
From it, and death is with those who do not see me
كلall فخرpride فيin كلevery شخصperson معارborrowed
كل فخر في كل شخص معار
غيرexcept فخريmy pride بصورةin the image of الرحمنthe All-Merciful
غير فخري بصورة الرحمن
All pride in every person is borrowed,
All pride in every person is disgraceful
Except my pride in the image of the All-Merciful,
Except my pride in the image of the Most Merciful
وبأشياءand in things جمعةٍgathered together تتعالىare exalted
وبأشياء جمعةٍ تتعالى
كعلومِsuch as sciences دليلهاtheir proof فيin عيانِdirect vision
كعلومِ دليلها في عيانِ
And in gathered things that are exalted,
And with collected things that are sublime
Such as sciences whose proof lies in direct vision,
Like sciences whose proof is in vision
وتخلىand renunciation للهfor God دنياthis world وأخرىand the next world
وتخلى لله دنيا وأخرى
فيin عيانيmy direct vision وتارةand at times فيin جنانيmy heart
في عياني وتارة في جناني
And renunciation of this world and the next for God,
And leave the world and the next
In my direct vision, and at times in my heart.
In my vision and sometimes in my heavens
