لا فرقَ بين نزولِ الوحي بالملكِ

لا فرقَ بين نزولِ الوحي بالملكِ

أو يلهم القلبَ إلهاماً من الملكِ

أو يلهم القلبَ إلهاماً من الملكِ

There is no difference between revelation descending through the angel

There is no difference between revelation's descent

and the heart receiving inspiration from the King.

With an angel, or the heart's God-given inspiration;

ليس المرادُ سوى عِلمٍ تحصّله

ليس المرادُ سوى عِلمٍ تحصّله

من غير منزلةٍ من فلك أو فلك

من غير منزلةٍ من فلك أو فلك

The aim is nothing but knowledge that you acquire,

The purpose being only the knowledge attained,

regardless of station—from one celestial sphere or another.

Not the manner, from sphere or sphere.

ما الشانُ في المنزلِ الوهاب من كرمٍ

ما الشانُ في المنزلِ الوهاب من كرمٍ

الشانُ في المنزلِ المنعوتِ بالحبك

الشانُ في المنزلِ المنعوتِ بالحبك

What matters is not the Sender, who bestows out of generosity;

What matter the manner of All-Giving's gift?

what matters is the place of descent, described as having woven paths.

What matters is the attribute of All-Loving.

فخذه عِلماً وتحقيقاً تسرّ به

فخذه عِلماً وتحقيقاً تسرّ به

من واهبِ العقل أو قل ضامن الدرك

من واهبِ العقل أو قل ضامن الدرك

So take it as knowledge and realization, and rejoice in it,

So take it as knowledge and realization, glad

from the Giver of intellect—or say, the Guarantor of attainment.

With the Giver of Intellect, or say Granter of Union.

الكلُّ من عنده لا يمتري أحدٌ

الكلُّ من عنده لا يمتري أحدٌ

فيما أفوه به إنْ كان ذا نُسكِ

فيما أفوه به إنْ كان ذا نُسكِ

All is from Him; no one doubts

All is from Him; none contends

what I utter, if he is devoted to worship.

In what I say, if devoutly entwined;

واعلم بأنَّ وجودَ الأمرِ واحدُه

واعلم بأنَّ وجودَ الأمرِ واحدُه

كما علمتَ به في كلِّ مشتركِ

كما علمتَ به في كلِّ مشتركِ

And know that the existence of the matter is its oneness,

And know that existence of matter is one,

as you have known it in everything held in common.

As you have learned, in each common locus.
