What number has a half equal to its double?
What is the number whose half is half of its double?
Its palm grows moist despite the softness of its palm.
Dew falls on his soft palm, his palm.

Water is its life, and also its death.
Water is his life yet it is his demise.
So marvel at a thing whose life is its doom.
How strange that the very water sustains yet destroys him.

With every defender whose spearhead is its tip.
With every protector, his tip is his edge.

Half of him is inscribed with Quran while
Its half is never without houses and song.
Never devoid of harm and enchantment is his other half.
