أَولادُ شَيخِ الشُيوخِ قالوا

أَولادُ شَيخِ الشُيوخِ قالوا

أَلقابُنا كُلُّها مُحالُ

أَلقابُنا كُلُّها مُحالُ

The sons of the Shaykh of Shaykhs said:

The sons of the chief of chiefs have said:

“Our titles are all absurd:

All our titles are impossible.

لا فَخرَ فينا وَلا عِمادٌ

لا فَخرَ فينا وَلا عِمادٌ

وَلا مُعينٌ وَلا كَمالُ

وَلا مُعينٌ وَلا كَمالُ

There is no glory in us, nor any pillar of support,

There is no pride in us, nor pillar,

Nor any helper, nor perfection.”

Nor supporter, nor perfection.
