ياO مُورِدَone who brings to drink الرُمحِthe spear ظَمآناًthirsty وَمُصدِرَهُand one who sends it back
يا مُورِدَ الرُمحِ ظَمآناً وَمُصدِرَهُ
يَومَon the day of الكَريهَةِbattle رَيّاناًwith thirst slaked مِنَwith العَلَقِblood
يَومَ الكَريهَةِ رَيّاناً مِنَ العَلَقِ
O you who lead the thirsty spear to drink and send it back
O bearer of the spear, thirsty yet its source
on the day of battle, its thirst slaked with blood.
On the day of battle, dripping with blood
قَدindeed عَيَّدَcelebrated the feast الناسُthe people فيin نُعماكَyour bounty فيin جُدُدٍnew clothes
قَد عَيَّدَ الناسُ في نُعماكَ في جُدُدٍ

The people have celebrated the feast, thanks to your bounty, in new clothes;
People celebrate your grace with new gifts
but I, among them, celebrated it in worn-out clothes.
But I celebrate within creation itself
