انظُر إِليَّ بِعَينِ مَولىً لَم يَزَل

انظُر إِليَّ بِعَينِ مَولىً لَم يَزَل

يولي النَدى وَتَلافَ قَبلَ تَلافي

يولي النَدى وَتَلافَ قَبلَ تَلافي

Look upon me with the eye of a patron who has never ceased

Look at me with the eye of a Master who has never ceased

bestowing bounty; save me before I perish.

To give me care and kindness before my own care for myself

أَنا كَالَّذي أَحتاجُ ما يَحتاجُهُ

أَنا كَالَّذي أَحتاجُ ما يَحتاجُهُ

فَاغنَم ثَوابي وَالثَناءَ الوافي

فَاغنَم ثَوابي وَالثَناءَ الوافي

I am like 'the one who': I need what it needs;

I am like one who needs what he needs

so gain the reward for aiding me, and unstinting praise.

So reap my reward and complete praise
