أَقلامُهُ جازَت أَقاليمَنا

أَقلامُهُ جازَت أَقاليمَنا

وَكانَ في عَصرِ الصِبى مَقلَمَه

وَكانَ في عَصرِ الصِبى مَقلَمَه

His pens have traversed our regions.

His pens crossed our regions

And in boyhood he was a pen case.

And in the era of youth was his pen

إِن صُغِّرَ الكَذّابُ مِن قَبلِهِ

إِن صُغِّرَ الكَذّابُ مِن قَبلِهِ

فَلا تُصغِّرهُ وَقُل مَسلَمَه

فَلا تُصغِّرهُ وَقُل مَسلَمَه

If the Liar before him was given a diminutive name,

If the liar is belittled because of him

Then do not give him a diminutive name; say “Maslamah.”

Then do not belittle him, and say he is Muslim

سَلَّمهُ اللَهُ إِلى مالِكٍ

سَلَّمهُ اللَهُ إِلى مالِكٍ

إِن ماتَ أَو عاشَ فَلا سَلَّمَه

إِن ماتَ أَو عاشَ فَلا سَلَّمَه

May God deliver him to Malik;

May God deliver him to an angel

Whether he dies or lives, may He not keep him safe.

Whether he dies or lives, do not bid him farewell
