سَلوهُask him إِنif أَجابَكُمُhe answers you سَلَوهُask him
سَلوهُ إِن أَجابَكُمُ سَلَوهُ
سَلوهُask him جُنَّhe went mad حَتّىuntil سَلسَلوهُthey chained him
سَلوهُ جُنَّ حَتّى سَلسَلوهُ
Ask him; if he answers you, ask him.
Ask him, if he answers you, ask him
Ask him—he went so mad that they chained him.
Ask him persistently until you overwhelm him
وَلَولاand were it not أَنَّكُمthat you are بَقَرٌcattle حَميرٌasses
وَلَولا أَنَّكُم بَقَرٌ حَميرٌ
لَماwould not have مَنَعوكُمthey barred you أَنto تدخلوهُyou enter it
لَما مَنَعوكُم أَن تدخلوهُ
And were you not cattle and asses,
And were you not stupid cattle and asses
They would not have barred you from entering it.
They would not have prevented you from entering it
