قُلsay لِلإِمامِto the imam المُرتَضىthe chosen one إِنَّهُthat he
قُل لِلإِمامِ المُرتَضى إِنَّهُ
مَلاذُthe refuge of ذيone possessed of الدُّنياworldly life وَذيand one possessed of الدِّينِreligion
مَلاذُ ذي الدُّنيا وَذي الدِّينِ
Tell the chosen imam that he
Tell the Imam Al-Murtaza that he
Is the refuge of the worldly and the devout.
Is the refuge of this world and religion
هَنّاكَmay He gladden you اللَّهُGod وَلاand not زِلتَyou cease to be فيin
هَنّاكَ اللَّهُ وَلا زِلتَ في
حرزٍsafekeeping وَفيand in عِزٍّhonor وَتَمكينِand firm authority
حرزٍ وَفي عِزٍّ وَتَمكينِ
May God gladden you, and may you ever remain in
There is God, and you have always been in
Safety, honor, and firm authority.
Protection, honor and empowerment
خِلافَةٌa caliphate حَصَّنتyou fortified أَرواقَهاits pavilions
خِلافَةٌ حَصَّنت أَرواقَها
مِنfrom كُلِّevery غاديone setting forth in the morning الجِدِّearnest striving مَفتونِdeluded
مِن كُلِّ غادي الجِدِّ مَفتونِ
A caliphate whose pavilions you fortified
A caliphate whose corridors were fortified
Against every deluded man setting forth earnestly in the morning,
From every obstinate transgressor
يَومon the day of البَدنَدونِal-Badnadun كَماjust as أَنَّهاthat it
يَوم البَدنَدونِ كَما أَنَّها
جاءَتكَit came to you فيon يَومِthe day of البَدنَدونِal-Badnadun
جاءَتكَ في يَومِ البَدنَدونِ
On the day of al-Badnadun, just as it
On the day of Badandun as it
