وَخَلِّ عَنّي وَما أَلقى مِنَ الوَسَنِ
Sleep—may you not be deprived of sweet sleep, O my solace.
O my solace, sleep was not deprived of its sweetness for me
And leave me alone with the drowsiness I endure.
And leave me be, and what I experience of intimacy

Do not withhold the wind from me when it wafts to me
Do not keep the wind from me when it blows to me
Union with you; and do not forbid sorrow.
With connection from you, and do not prevent sorrow

If you dislike what beguiles the heart,
If you dislike what tempts the heart with it
Then tell your eye: do not banish it with safety.
Then tell your eye not to deny it with security

I cherish love of you [with all my being]; I do not confine it
I love your love that fully occupies me
To part of me, even if, through my love for you, I sleep in the shroud.
Part of me, even if I slept in your love in the shroud

May God bless the face with which you were favored,
God prayed upon a face you were specialized with
And may God bless the beauty within it.
And God blessed what beauty it contains
