رَبّ مَن أَهدى لَنا شغلاً

رَبّ مَن أَهدى لَنا شغلاً

لَم يحقّ إِلَّا بِهِ الشُّغُل

لَم يحقّ إِلَّا بِهِ الشُّغُل

Many a one has brought us toil;

My Lord, He who busied us with toil

Only on his account was toil warranted.

which is made proper only through toil,

دائِباً يَسعى لِيَنقُضها

دائِباً يَسعى لِيَنقُضها

نَجذاهي يَنقُضُ الدّوَل

نَجذاهي يَنقُضُ الدّوَل

Tirelessly he strives to undo them;

ever striving to undo it -

my fellow undoer of fortunes!
