إِنَّindeed الخِلافَةَthe caliphate أَصبَحَتhas become سَرَّاؤُهاits prosperity
إِنَّ الخِلافَةَ أَصبَحَت سَرَّاؤُها
مَجلوبَةًbrought in وَشرورُهاand its evils مَصروفَهْturned away
مَجلوبَةً وَشرورُها مَصروفَهْ
Indeed, the caliphate's prosperity has become
The Caliphate has become with goodness overflowing,
brought in, and its evils turned away.
And evil averted from its bounds.
عَفوٌpardon تَعُمُّspread بِهِthrough it الذُّنوبُsins وَحُرمَةٌand sanctity
عَفوٌ تَعُمُّ بِهِ الذُّنوبُ وَحُرمَةٌ
تُعطِيgrants الثَّوابَreward وَرَأفَةٌand compassion مَعطوفَهْextended
تُعطِي الثَّوابَ وَرَأفَةٌ مَعطوفَهْ
Pardon, through which sins spread, and sanctity
Pardons encompass all sins,
that grants reward, and compassion extended.
Rewards given, and mercy abounding.
لَوif كانَwere يُنقِذُناrescues us وَيُؤمِنand makes secure سِربَناour people
لَو كانَ يُنقِذُنا وَيُؤمِن سِربَنا
وَيُجيرُناand shelters us مِنfrom شَرِّthe harm of كُلِّevery مَخوفَهْdreaded thing
وَيُجيرُنا مِن شَرِّ كُلِّ مَخوفَهْ
If anything were to rescue us and keep our people safe,
If it could save and secure our company,
and shelter us from the harm of every dreaded thing,
And protect us from each fearsome thing-
إِلاexcept مَقامَtaking the place خَليفَةٍa caliph لِخَليفَةٍfor a caliph
إِلا مَقامَ خَليفَةٍ لِخَليفَةٍ
لِخَليفَةٍfor a caliph لِخَليفَةٍfor a caliph لِخَليفَهْfor a caliph
لِخَليفَةٍ لِخَليفَةٍ لِخَليفَهْ
save a caliph succeeding a caliph,
None but the station of Caliph succeeding Caliph
succeeding a caliph, succeeding a caliph, succeeding a caliph.
Succeeding Caliph succeeding Caliph could such refuge bring!
