غسلني بالدمعِ ثمَّ أنشد كذا صبي
Your bathhouse has an attendant whose appearance captivates.
Your dove, whose sight is admirable, captivates me
A boy washed me with tears, then recited thus:
It washed me with tears then sang like this, a youth
جعلhe set مسنَّهُhis whetstone وموسهand his razor والحجرand the stone نصبيbefore me
جعل مسنَّهُ وموسه والحجر نصبي
قالhe said ذاthis is عذاريmy cheek-down وذاand this is طرفيmy gaze وذاand this is قلبيmy heart
قال ذا عذاري وذا طرفي وذا قلبي
He set his whetstone, his razor, and the stone before me.
It made its beak and feather and stone my idols
He said, “This is my cheek-down, and this is my gaze, and this is my heart.”
It said "This is my chastity, this my eyelash, this my heart"
