ما لي وللسعي إلى
مَنْone who فيin الحرامِthe forbidden قَدْalready غطسْplunged
مَنْ في الحرامِ قَدْ غطسْ
What have I to do with seeking out
Why should I strive for
one who has plunged into the forbidden,
One who is steeped in forbidden ways
بينَamong لئامٍscoundrels لوْif أتىhe came
بينَ لئامٍ لوْ أتى
بضرطةٍwith a fart قالواthey said عَطَسْhe sneezed
بضرطةٍ قالوا عَطَسْ
among scoundrels who, were he to let out
Amidst the vile, were he
a fart, would say, "He sneezed"?
To sneeze, they'd say "God bless you!"
