ثلاثةٌ كنْ حذراً خائفاً
منهاof them ولوْand even if ظاهرُهاtheir outward appearance أعجبَكْimpressed you
منها ولوْ ظاهرُها أعجبَكْ
Three things—be wary and fearful
of them, even if their outward appearance impresses you:
مالٌwealth وإنْand even if زادَincreased وأنثىand a woman وإنْand even if
مالٌ وإنْ زادَ وأنثى وإنْ
شابَتْshe grew gray وسلطانٌand a ruler وإنْand even if قرَّبَكْhe drew you near
شابَتْ وسلطانٌ وإنْ قرَّبَكْ
Wealth, even if it increases; and a woman, even if
she grows gray; and a ruler, even if he draws you near.
