عابدةُ النارِ سنا نورِها
أوضحَmade clear ليto me فيin الحبِّlove إعذاراjustification
أوضحَ لي في الحبِّ إعذارا
The fire-worshipping woman—the radiance of her light
Worshipper of fire, her light years old
Made clear to me a justification for love.
In love, to me her excuses are clearly told
قدْindeed أحرقتْshe burned قلبيmy heart بهجرانِهاthrough her abandonment
قدْ أحرقتْ قلبي بهجرانِها
فالنارُso the fire ممنْfrom one who يعبدُworships الناراfire
فالنارُ ممنْ يعبدُ النارا
She has burned my heart by forsaking me;
My heart burnt by her abandonment
So fire comes from one who worships fire.
So fire comes from one who fire beholds
