رغماًin defiance لِمَنْof whoever قالْsaid قبليbefore me
رغماً لِمَنْ قالْ قبلي
الشمعُthe candles فيin الشمسِthe sun ضائعْwasted
الشمعُ في الشمسِ ضائعْ
in defiance of whoever said before me:
Despite those who said before me
