يا قادماً والثلجُ قدْ عَمَّ الفضا

يا قادماً والثلجُ قدْ عَمَّ الفضا

قدْ نوَّرَ الظلماءَ مقدمُكَ المُضي

قدْ نوَّرَ الظلماءَ مقدمُكَ المُضي

O arriving one, while snow has covered the expanse,

O you who come while the snow has covered the sky

your radiant arrival has lit the darkness.

Your arrival has illuminated the darkness

سافرتَ في يومٍ عبوسٍ أسودٍ

سافرتَ في يومٍ عبوسٍ أسودٍ

وقَدِمْتَ في يومٍ ضحوكٍ أبيضِ

وقَدِمْتَ في يومٍ ضحوكٍ أبيضِ

You set out on a frowning, black day,

You traveled on a gloomy, black day

and arrived on a laughing, white day.

And arrived on a smiling, white day

فكأنَّما الشهباءُ قدْ حلفَتْ بأنْ

فكأنَّما الشهباءُ قدْ حلفَتْ بأنْ

تلقاكَ في ثوبٍ يروقُ مُفَضَّضِ

تلقاكَ في ثوبٍ يروقُ مُفَضَّضِ

So it is as though al-Shahba had sworn that

As if the stars had sworn

she would greet you in a dazzling, silvered robe.

To meet you in an embroidered robe

فاسلمْ ودمْ في نعمةٍ تأييدها

فاسلمْ ودمْ في نعمةٍ تأييدها

لا ينقضي وبناؤُها لم ينقضِ

لا ينقضي وبناؤُها لم ينقضِ

So stay safe, and remain in a blessing whose support

So settle down and live in a grace sustained by Him

never ends, and whose edifice has not been torn down.

That never expires and its structure never collapses
